More about breathing

Of all the people I work on, the people who relax the most are those who breath with consistent ease and optimally fullness. It is like I work from the outside in and they are work from the inside out. When awareness of tension from the outside and breath from the inside meet in the middle, the outcome is normally a softening of the surrounding tissues and a subtle movement through the previously tense area of the body representing peace, grace and comfort.

When I work on people with less than optimal breath, it often feels like I am pushing on a balloon. What happens when you push on a balloon?  Either it regains it previous shape when you stop, or it pops?  If the goal is to positively change the tension in your body, neither of these results are what we are looking for, wouldn't you agree?

I seriously encourage you to think more about your breath and how you can benefit from optimizing it.

Check back here soon.  There will be more facts, research, stories and benefits to breathing.....I've only just begun.

Shallow breathers of the world unite!
